OpenTrojan

OpenTrojan is a malware and trojan scanner built on the principle that security tools should be inspectable. Rather than asking you to trust a black box, it publishes the detection logic and signatures it uses, so you can see exactly what a result means and why a file was flagged. It scans for common trojan, backdoor and malicious-script patterns, reports findings in plain language, and explains the remediation step for each detection instead of dumping a threat name and leaving you to search for it. The project is aimed at developers, sysadmins and privacy-conscious users who want a second opinion on a file, a server or a downloaded package without installing a heavyweight commercial suite or uploading sensitive data to an unknown service. It runs as an open-source project, so the community can audit and extend the rule set.
