About JotShot
JotShot is a small menu bar app for macOS that turns a screenshot into a clear visual note. Press a global shortcut (Command-Control-4 by default, changeable in Settings), drag over an area or click a window, and the capture opens in the editor. Mark it up with arrows, lines, rectangles, ellipses, pen, highlighter, text and stamps, including numbered steps, and pixelate names, e-mail addresses or keys before you share. Every tool has a single-key shortcut, and anything you draw can be moved, resized and recolored later. Copy the result with one click, drag it into another app, save it as PNG, JPEG or PDF, or use the macOS share sheet. JotShot has no account and does not connect to the internet; captures stay on your Mac. It runs on macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel, and is a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store.
